Do not go to the mall without finding out what corporate discount your company, your spouse's company, or the company of other immediate family members might offer. Most discounts are about 15% and are available to family members.
I know, I know...this won't do you much good at, say Tiffany's(where my brother's company has a discount). It will, however, do you a world of good on the Brooks Brother's outlet's sale rack. Ask around.
Here are some of the most likely places to find a discount...
- Chains that sell work attire, like Brooks Brothers
- Car rental agencies (almost all have a relationship with the local teacher's union!)
- Florists
- Chain jewelers
